For travelers coming from EU member states it should be now easier than ever because Moldova waived the visa requirement in the beginning of 2007. Others could perhaps do wisely by applying for the visa in advance. The visa itself was very easy to get on the border (at least for me), but if I had it in advance I probably could have traveled by minibus like most of the locals did. At least in Chisinau the number of people who can afford to go to clubs is growing. The bars, on the other hand, are cheap and there are bars also in the countryside. Still, it’s better to make local friends and go for their home made wine… ;)
