This was one of the nicest costumes.
"Music is the key", the motto of the parade.
There were some performances less related to the music, too.
In the evening everybody gathered in the center and nearby parkways and all the trucks started playing the same music. What an opportunity for the DJ!
It was really a great feeling to watch the sunset here.
This is what I call a party! We were standing on top a small (1,5 meters high) stone wall surrounding the square, so we could see over the whole area. Music was best in the beginning, later they played house I didn't care so much. But the incredible atmosphere compensated that fully.
The right side of the square. The main PA was situated around the monument, all the trucks helping with their equipment.
Blue and purple. | |
The lights were huge, the white one in the back is coming from a truck, scanning the sky constantly with several beams.
The picture says it all.
The girl behind me wanted to have a picture of herself, so here you are. The huge amount of dust in the air made flash pretty useless, as you can see.
Too soon it was all over, at about 11 pm. The ending was quite strange, first the music stopped for a while and then they started to play some kind of humming noise. I and Tero waited for some more music until midnight, Jani and Esa had already left. Nothing happened, and eventually we decided to back to hotel, didn't feel like to continue somewhere else after a party like that. It would really be fantastic to extend it until morning, but I guess they want people to go somewhere else to be able to gather money.
